Genevieve Swiss offers new cutting oils

Genevieve Swiss Industries Inc., Westfield, Mass., recently introduced its "Swiss Silver" cutting oils designed for greater lubricity, faster heat dissipation, improved part finish and longer tool life for Swiss-type machining, according to a company news release.

Genevieve Swiss Industries Inc. toasts its new Swiss Silver oils.

"The unique formulation of Swiss Silver serves to eliminate wax-like buildup on [a] machine's slide surfaces that can catch chips that create abrasion, loss of accuracy and high machine maintenance costs," the company reported.

Different types of the oil are available for soft or hard metal applications, the company noted, adding that all types are clear, which allows greater visibility for the operator. Lower viscosity, meanwhile, is said to result in less fluid use, less fluid carried out on parts and less chance of tolerance change as machine oil temperature increases.

Swiss Silver oils also feature "high-pressure delivery capability for low mist, low foam and low air entrapment, ensuring the oil remains inside the machine and does not go into the air in the shop."
