Kionix rolls out trio of MEMS-related products at CES
Kionix Inc., Ithica, N.Y., introduced a trio of new products at the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, according to a company news release issued Jan. 9. A top-three provider of MEMS inertial sensors for consumer products, Kionix rolled out its first 3-axis accelerometer-gyro ‘combo’ device, a low-power 3-axis consumer-grade gyro, and a 9-axis sensor-fusion software solution targeted at the rapidly growing consumer electronics market.
The KXG02 is a low-power, low-current, 3-axis gyroscope, 3-axis accelerometer combination device for high-volume consumer applications. The KXG02 enables six degrees of freedom for tablets, smartphones, television remote controllers, video game consoles and other consumer electronics.
The KGY23, the company's second-generation gyro, features a 3-axis, 4mm x 4mm x 0.9mm sensor that offers low power, low noise, flexible output ranges and excellent bias stability over temperature.
Kionix Sensor Fusion software is a single platform that is scalable across the full range of sensor combinations as well as operating systems, and scalable from embedded microcontrollers to application processors.
