Letter, Number Electrodes

Miniature letter and number EDM electrodes are available in heights as small as 1mm.

Saturn Industries, Hudson, N.Y., produces small letter and number EDM electrodes in graphite, copper graphite and tellurium copper. Electrodes can be fabricated as fine as 0.040" (1mm) in height with a Z depth of 0.010". Common sizes are 1/16", 1/8" and 3/16", and the company produces electrodes with height variations, right reading and reverse reading. Standard font is Bridgeport Arial, and the company offers other fonts or sizes as specials.

Often used in place of engraving hardened metals, the miniature letters and numbers can also be used to produce punches as well as mold components for plastic injection molding applications, according to Saturn. Users need not purchase a complete 26-letter, 10-number set.
