Oren Elliott Products offers air-dielectric capacitors

Nov. 18, 2011—Oren Elliott Products Inc., a manufacturer of air-dielectric variable capacitors based in Edgerton, Ohio, also makes precision-screw-machined and CNC-machined products, custom sub-assemblies, variable inductors and planetary reduction drives.

Since the company's inception in 1983, its capacitors have been used in such diverse applications as microchip fabrication equipment—including physical vapor deposition systems, chemical vapor deposition systems, radio frequency (RF) plasma etching, sputtering and deposition devices—optical and cryogenic level meters, and RF test equipment, according to the company Web site.

The company's origins, though, date back to 1925 when it produced capacitors under the name American Steel Packaging Co., and later known as All Star Products.

Oren Elliott's plant include CNC lathes, CNC vertical machining centers, CNC and conventional Swiss screw machines.
