Surface roughness measurement by an optical profiler
ZeGage™ is said to be the ideal non-contact optical profiler for quantitative measurements of 3-D form and roughness on precision machined surfaces, according to Zemetrics Inc., a non-contact optical metrology systems company based in Tuscon, Ariz.

"The industrial design provides fast, accurate metrology in a compact, cost-effective package that can be located directly on the factory floor without the need for vibration isolation or specialized enclosures," according to the Zemetrics Web site.
In addition, ZeMaps™, the company's interactive control software, is said to offer easy and detailed visualization to help customers control their process. Find out more about ZeGage on the Zemetrics Web site.
