Walter offers grinder for microtools

Walter’s Helitronic Micro grinding machine combines linear technology and a 7-axis layout that optimizes the production grinding and regrinding of microtools, reports the company. The linear/direct drives allow travel speeds up to 2,000 ipm—30 percent faster than ballscrew machines. The Helitronic Micro grinds tools with diameters ranging from 0.02" to 0.50" and regrinds tools having diameters 0.1" and larger.
