Royal Master Grinders Inc.

The Generation X from Royal Master Grinders Inc. is a 3-axis micromachining system that can grind a workpiece to a diameter as small as 0.0005". The machine is accurate to 0.1 micron on diameter and the linear axis, 0.5° on the rotational axis and is able to impart finishes as fine as 2 Ra, according to the company. With the addition of a regulating wheel housing and dresser, the Generation X can be converted into a conventional centerless grinder for infeed and through-feed applications.
