If your local distributor does not have our product on the shelf, we can drop ship the tools to you with same-day shipping. Customers outside the U.S. and Canada can contact us directly.

Harvey Tool is pleased to announce a new line of miniature 45° Helix end mills. These high helix end mills stand out among the others on the market, because they are stocked in sizes below 1/8” in diameter. Harvey’s 2- and 5-flute miniatures offer the 45° spiral all the way down to a diameter of .031”. The high helix creates increased axial cutting forces (rather that radial), resulting in improved chip evacuation and superior part finishes. Further, the reduction in radial forces minimizes tool deflection and avoids tool breakage, making these tools ideal for thin-walled parts. The 2-flute 45° Helix mills, available in square and ball profiles, are designed for high-performance, non-ferrous applications, while the 5-flute 45° Helix mills excel in ferrous machining applications. Harvey Tool has expanded its line of miniature corner radius end mills. The company now stocks common fractional and decimal sizes from .030” to .250” diameter featuring convex corner radius sizes of .005”, .010” and .015”. The center cutting, four flute tools are in stock and ready to ship uncoated, AlTiN coated, and Amorphous Diamond coated. Critical to micro-machining, the corner radius improves the strength of the mill as compared to the sharp corners present on commonly available square mills. The cutting forces are distributed along the length of the radius versus all the forces concentrated on a small, relatively unsupported corner. Harvey Tool has developed a new line of miniature end mills for machining hardened tool, die and mold steels (45Rc - 65Rc). A large variety of miniature sizes make these tools distinctive. Harvey Tool’s stock offering includes end mills down to .015” diameter in both ball and corner radius profiles, with multiple reach lengths in both styles. The tools are ground on from carbide with an ultrafine grain size and increased cobalt content for improved edge retention. Their superior geometry features a stub flute, large core, eccentric relief and edge preparation. The neck to shank area has unique transition geometry to properly load tool pressure into the shank, maximizing strength and stiffness. Strict tolerances are upheld throughout, including a +.0000”/-.0006” tolerance on the cutter diameter.
