Microlution 363-S micromilling machine features auto tool changer, more
Microlution Inc. Vice President Andrew Honegger demonstrates the new features of its micromilling machine, the Microlution 363-S.
In addition to a 36-pocket automatic tool changer and a laser tool length and diameter sensor, the 363-S includes a quick-change, highly repeatable workpiece and spindle mounting system that allows both the workpiece and the spindle to be removed and replaced with submicron repeatability.
The machine reportedly provides 2 µm positioning accuracy, 50 nm resolution and 200 nm repeatability throughout its 63mm travel in the x, y and z axes.
